• Telemundo is an American
television network that broadcasts in Spanish. It is the
second largest Spanish language content producer in the
world, and the second largest Spanish language network
in the United States. Telemundo was founded by Angel
Ramos with a television station in San Juan, Puerto
Rico, in 1954. Telemundo Communications Group, the
network's parent company, is part of the NBC Universal
division of General Electric. The network reaches 93% of
Hispanic households in 142 markets via over-the-air,
cable and satellite television.
